July 2015 will see the arrival of the most powerful M6 yet. BMW has revealed that it will replace the existing Competition Package on the M6 Coupe, M6 Gran Coupe and the M6 Convertible with more powerful packages.
The upgraded 4.4-litre twin turbo V8 puts out 700Nm of torque, as compared to the 680Nm in standard tune. BMW says this has had an effect on performance figures with the sprint from zero to 100kmph taking 3.9 seconds in the Coupe and Gran Coupe and 4 seconds in the Convertible model.
Prices for the Competition Package on the M6 Coupe and M6 Convertible are £7,300 (Rs 7.14 lakh) and £6,300 (Rs 6.16 lakh) respectively.
BMW India recently launched the refreshed 6 series Gran Coupe in the Indian market. Sadly, we will not be getting the updated Competition Package anytime soon.
