BMW has launched new special edition variants of the X5 M and the X6 M, called Black Fire. These models get subtle visual upgrades along with a metallic black paint job which give the X5 M and X6 M a sinister look.
The kidney grille features black slats, while the 21-inch forged alloy wheels are also painted in black. The mirror caps get carbon fibre finish. Inside, the seats are wrapped in black fine-grain Merino leather with red accents. The dashboard gets a piano black finish with ‘Black Fire’ badges.
Under the hood of the X5 M and X6 M Black Fire models is the same 4.4-litre V8 engine delivering 575bhp and 750Nm of torque. Power is fed to all four wheels through an eight-speed M Steptronic gearbox. These UVs can sprint from 0 to 100kmph in just 4.2 seconds, while the top speed is limited to 250kmph. The X5 M and X6 M Black Fire will go on sale in Europe in August.
