German auto-giant BMW will use the General Police Equipment Exhibition and Conference at Leipzig, held once in 2 years, to unveil their latest round of high security cars developed for use by law enforcement authorities and VIP’s – developed considering the requirements of German federal and state police
BMW range which will be on display at the exhibition will comprise the 3 Series Touring, X3, 7 Series High Security, X5 Security and the i3 Concept and four motorcycles.
The reports suggest that the X3 and the 3-series are capable of patrolling the Autobhan! – that will basically make them powerful enough to man any highway in the world. There is also an electric i3, developed for usage in urban environment for projecting the green image with the law.
For those who can afford to spend a considerable sum on travelling in sumptuous comfort, safety will be of paramount importance and in this regard BMW have introduced the 7-series high security and the X5 security. Both vehicles have compliance to the latest European security standards the VR scale (VR 1-9). While the X5 has got a rating of VR4 the 7-series sits right on top with a rating of VR-7.
The BMW security range joins the long list vehicles, which includes the Mammoth size Conquest XIV, to provide a safe and secure yet luxurious ride.
