Reports indicate that the German luxury car manufacturer, BMW, plans to introduce 26 M-badged all-new or revised models by the end of 2020. It is believed that every vehicle in BMW’s lineup is being considered for either an M or M-Performance variant. Over time, the company aims at increasing sales of M cars to over 1 lakh units a year.
Reports further claim that BMW is planning M variants for the X3, X4, the upcoming Z4, and the 8 Series. Including the X2 and the upcoming new 3 Series and X7, all the M Performance cars are expected to be offered with all-wheel-drive modes. It is further believed that the German car manufacturer is currently considering M Performance versions of the 4 Series GT, the second-gen 4 Series Coupe and the Cabriolet as well.
BMW plans to introduce the all new BMW M3 at the 2019 Frankfurt Motor Show. The new model gets carbon fibre components which makes it lighter by about 50kgs than the standard M3. Based on the CLAR platform, the vehicle maximizes the use of aluminum and high strength steel. The power output is expected to be hiked by 10 per cent thereby generating 459bhp of power as compared to the current model that generates 413bhp. More details regarding the new BMW M lineup will be known in the days to come.
