With BMW all set to begin production of the new seventh generation 5 Series, code named G30, the brand is now busy informing the world about the features that are to be expected from this saloon.
BMW is giving customers a glimpse of the safety and assistance systems on the new 5 Series. So, like the 7 Series, it gets the steering and lane control assistant which works in tandem with the active cruise control and stop-go function to enable owners to keep their hands off the steering. There’s also the crossroads warning system that detects cars moving suddenly out of a side road without using a signal. In such cases the on-board system warns the driver of a potential collision and provides braking assistance to avoid an accident.
A few weeks ago, BMW unveiled that the 5 Series would allow owners to remotely view their car thanks to the set of inbuilt cameras that offer a bird’s-eye view of the saloon. It is possible with the use of a smartphone application called “Remote View 3D”. These are just some of the features the brand is teasing on the 5 Series for now, and we shall give you more information on this in the weeks to come.
