For those saddened by the untimely end of the Top Gear, now is your chance to own a piece of the popular TV show’s history. A 1996 BMW M3 that starred in Series 15 of what was the world’s famous car show will go under the hammer at the Classic Car Auctions in the June Sale.
Considering that most vehicles to appear on Top Gear are either converted into boats, electric people carriers or destroyed in one of the show’s challenges, this E36 M3 is in surprisingly good condition.
The M3 was driven by Richard Hammond and The Stig, as part of the sports sedan challenge which was filmed in Germany in 2010. During the episode, the car was put through a high speed test on an autobahn and a drive around the country’s capital, Berlin. It also did a hot lap of the Euro Speedway.
Having covered 79,100miles (1.17 lakh kilometres), this particular M3 is expected to cost between £7,500 (Rs 7.39 lakh) and £10,500 (Rs 10.35 lakh) when it goes up for auction next month.
