BMW has launched a limited edition of their crossover, the X6 M. This variant has cosmetic changes to the exterior as well as interiors of the vehicle. Only 100 units of the car will be manufactured.
The BMW X6 M is itself a high performance variant of the X6. With additional alterations to the appearance, the carmaker has made the crossover look more sporty and attractive. This new edition is available in three colours- Melbourne Red metallic, Alpine White and Sapphire Black. The traditional kidney grille, the front splitter, OVRMs, rear spoiler and the rear diffuser, all are painted in black. The car also boasts of M Performance decals on its exteriors flaunting BMW’s M colours. However, they are offered as an option. The car stands tall on new lightweight double-spoked 21-inch alloys.
On the inside, the Design edition has seats wrapped in Merino full leather with Mugello Red stitching. Continuing with the black and red theme, the instrument panel also adorns the black leather with red stitching. There is a numbered badge on the dashboard displaying the individuality of the limited edition car.
There are no changes to the mechanical bits and the new edition continues to be powered by the twin-turbo 4.4-litre V8 engine, which the standard variant is currently equipped with. This churns out 555bhp of power and 680Nm of torque. It is mated to a six-speed M Sport automatic transmission and the power is delivered to all four wheels.
BMW has not announced any prices for the ‘Design Edition’ yet, but claims it will be a good package for the price. Available in Germany, it is not known if any specific number of units has been allocated for the US or any other country.
