BMW has introduced a new petrol engine option to its Coupe-SUV, the X6. Priced at Rs 94.15 lakhs, ex-showroom, the 35i M Sport will be the entry-level BMW X6 in the Indian car market, making the SUV more accessible to the Indian buyer while also competing with the Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe 43 AMG.
The in-line six cylinder turbocharged petrol engine pumps out over 300bhp of power and 400Nm of torque and comes mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. Being a performance X car, BMW’s famous X-Drive (all-wheel drive system) is standard along with the adaptive pneumatic suspension. It also gets a shift-light, a vehicle stability control system and all the performance features expected.
Being a luxury SUV, it is as much about comfort as it is about performance and the 35i M Sport comes replete with features like two-zone climate control, electrically adjustable sunroof, leather upholstery along with electrically adjustable steering column, ORVMS et al.
The fully loaded diesel X6 with the 3.0-litre turbo-diesel is priced at Rs 1.26 crore ex-showroom, India while the top-spec X6 M with the raucous 4.4-litre bi-turbo V8 will cost you 1.78 crores.
