BMW has launched the facelifted X1 today at New Delhi with a starting price of Rs 27.9 lakh ex-showroom New Delhi. The car was first unveiled at the 2012 New York auto show and was later launched in the European market. The car will be sold in India via the completely knocked down (CKD) route and gets only the diesel option this time.
The facelifted X1 is powered by 2.0 litre diesel engine producing 184bhp of peak power and 380Nm of torque whereas the previous engine developed 177bhp.Power will be transmitted to the engine via a ZF eight-speed automatic gearbox – essentially it share its powertrain with the 320d. There is no four-wheel-drive option available this time.
The new X1 gets new bumpers as well as new grille, revised headlamps and mirrors. It also features an auto start-stop system which helps for better fuel efficiency, brake-energy regeneration and also has the ECO PRO mode that helps lower fuel consumption.
