BMW has launched the facelifted 2013 BMW X1in Indonesia. Since the compact crossover is assembled at the German automaker’s Chennai plant we can expect that they will launch it for the Indian market within the next few months.
The changes to this model include re-designed headlamps, revised front grille and a more aerodynamic design for the mirrors. Inside there are changes to the console and the dashboard. However, the engine line up and under pinnings remain the same as the previous model.
This means the 2.0-litre diesel engine and the 2.0-litre petrol mill producing 150bhp and 177bhp respectively will continue. This car is also expected get a start-stop system for the first time as well. The BMW X1 will compete with the Audi Q3 and the upcoming Volvo V40 crosscountry which will be launched around April.
