BMW India has launched a special edition of its flagship sedan, the 7 Series at Rs 1.22 crore (ex-showroom India). The car was launched at the exclusive ‘BMW fashion show’ now in its sixth year by Indian fashion designer Suneet Verma. The special edition is based on the 730Ld and gets some minor additions to differentiate it from the regular models.
Among the inclusions are a Bang and Olufen audio system, Integral Active Steering (that steers the rear wheels), individual reading lights, and a chiller in the rear. The Walnut Burr fine-wood trim is new and so is the exclusive Nappa leather upholstery which comes in ivory white and black colour combination. The special edition can be bought in three shades – imperial blue, brilliant effect and mineral white. It also gets 19 inch alloy wheels.
Speaking on this occasion, Philipp von Sahr, President, BMW Group India said, “Each BMW 7 Series Signature is like a piece of handwriting - an assertion of personal style. It makes a compellingly individual statement and its unique character is seen in every detail from the wealth of equipment, luxurious materials and sophisticated colours. The new BMW 7 Series Signature is undoubtedly the most exclusive way to drive a BMW.”
The Signature edition is now available at BMW dealerships across India. The addition of Integral Active Steering is a highlight as it wasn’t available in the 730Ld before.
