BMW has announced that they are now the official ‘Luxury Mobility Partner’ at the Delhi International Airport. BMW cars will help in chauffeuring all dignitaries, leading businessmen and eminent personalities transiting through the VIP Lounge to the airplanes and back.
BMW has chosen the 3 Series Gran Turismo to be used for transfers between private/chartered aircrafts and the VIP Lounge. Philipp von Sahr, President, BMW Group India along with Gaurav Bhatia, Director - Bird Automotive handed over the cars to Marcel Hungerbuehler, Chief Operating Officer = Delhi International Airport and Pradeep Panicker, Chief Commercial Officer - Delhi International Airport during a private event.
Philipp von Sahr said, "The joy of travelling for VIP guests of the Delhi International Airport will now be complete with a luxurious BMW experience. I am sure that the welcoming sight of a BMW will be a pleasant surprise for the travellers. BMW has always been the preferred choice for discerning clientele as we offer authentic premium products which are differentiated by their emotional appeal, luxurious comfort, uncompromising engineering and superior quality.”
The 3 Series GT was launched in India last year at the Auto Expo and ever since then has been favourited by many BMW fans. It is BMW's niche segment offering that sits between the crossover and station wagon vehicles. The rear legroom is greater in comparison to the 3 Series which means better space for rear passengers. The VIP guests are going to spend most of their time here at the back and will surely have a luxurious experience in the 3 Series GT.
