MotoGP world champion Marc Marquez has beenhanded the keys to a bespoke BMW M4 Coupe as an award for being the best qualifier in the premier class of motorcycle racing. The 21-year-old rider received his second award from BMW, having won an M6 last year.
The exclusive model presented to Marquez features a BMW Individual Frozen Red Metallic paint job and a unique interior with Merino Opal White leather upholstery garnished with Ash Grain White wood trim. The car is powered by a straight-six 3.0-litre TwinPower turbo engine belting out 425bhp and 550Nm of torque. An M 7-speed M-DCT double-clutch transmission works in tandem with this engine.
According to Marquez, “Knowing the prize is there at the end of the year gives you special motivation when going for pole on Saturday." He added, "This year even more so, because I really like this BMW M4 Coupe. I am happy to receive this car and, of course, I will enjoy it.”
India will get a taste of the M4 on November 26 when the car will be launched here along with the M3 sedan. The launch will happen at the Buddh International Circuit (BIC) in Delhi.
