BMW has announced its official lineup for the 2018 Auto Expo. The German automaker, a regular at the show, is bringing a range of models across its lineup and is expected to launch at least one of the cars during the two days of the show. Here then is what is coming to the show.
BMW X3
It’s an all-new BMW X3 and is making its Indian debut just a few months after the global reveal. The styling is evolutionary but underneath, there is a new platform, suspension design as well as engine options for BMW’s mid-size SUV. It will take on the Audi Q5, Mercedes-Benz GLE and the Volvo XC60.
BMW i8 Roadster
At the technology end of things, BMW will unveil the i8 Roadster at the Expo. It is, as the name suggests, a convertible version of the i8 and is expected to be one of the launches for the show. The car was unveiled in 2017 but had been spotted testing around Europe since mid-2016.
BMW M5
BMW’s original super sedan returns to India in a new guise. The visual updates are the same as what we have seen on the new 5 Series but the real excitement lies under the hood with a 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 producing 592bhp/700Nm.
BMW 6 Series Gran Turismo
The Gran Turismo concept has seen big takers in India and so BMW will bring their latest GT model to the country. The 6 Series Gran Turismo replaces the 5 GT. It is bigger than the current 6 Series and is likely to be offered with diesel and petrol power.
In addition to that, BMW will also display its current line-up of sedans, SUVs, sports cars and of course, their armoured range for those who want extra protection.
