BMW 8 Series Gran Coupe teased ahead of June reveal

-Four door 8 Series
-Shared engine and underpinnings with the two-door 8 Series

BMW has released the first teaser for the 8 Series Gran Coupe ahead of the official unveil this June. It’s a four door version of the 8 Series and will take on the likes of the Mercedes AMG GT 4, Porsche Panamera and the Maserati Quattroporte.

The image shows the silhouette of the 8 Series but we already know what the car will look like thanks to a plethora of spy images over the last few months. The formula, as we have said before, is quite straight forward - extend the length of the car and add two more doors to turn it into a Gran Coupe model.

Our spy images showcase the top-of-the-line M850i variant but we believe that there will be at least two lower spec models, a hybrid, an EV as well as at least one diesel powered variant. It is likely to come to India by the end of 2019 via the CBU route and will be offered here only in the top spec M850i trim.
