On the eve of their 100th anniversary, BMW has unveiled a limited edition 7 Series luxury sedan and has named it ‘BMW Individual 7 Series The Next 100 Years’.
These cars will have an exclusive Centennial Blue metallic exterior with forged 20-inch lightweight alloy wheels. The car can also be distinguished by handcrafted signets on the B pillars which say "The Next 100 Years."
On the inside, the 7-Series gets a special smoke white BMW individual fine grain Merino leather upholstery, quilted seats with hand-woven piping and "The Next 100 Years" embossing on the headrests. It also features an Alacantara headliner, piano black trim and a BMW Individual steering wheel with wood accents.
The centre console features an inscription with the number of the car out of the 100 models being produced. Customers who purchase this car will also receive a unique “Montblanc for BMW” centennial fountain pen which has Centennial Blue metallic accents and a rhodium-plated Au750 gold Montblanc nib.
Engines on offer include a 4.4-litre V8 with 450 horsepower and a 6.6-litre V12 with 612bhp. BMW will also offer a plug-in hybrid model which features a 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine mated to an electric motor that together have a combined output of 326bhp.
Given that we are one of the bigger markets for the 7 Series it seems possible that out of the 100 units being produced a few may actually find their way into the sub-continent.
