BMW 6 Series GT diesel launched in India at Rs 66.50 lakhs

-    The 630d GT is available in two trims – Luxury Line and M Sport.

-    The 3.0-litre six-cylinder diesel engine produces 261bhp and 620Nm.

-    The 6GT is now available in three trims with two engine options.

BMW has launched the diesel-powered 6 Series GT in India for the price of Rs 66.50 lakhs (ex-showroom all-India). The all-new locally produced 630d can be had in two trim options – Luxury Line and M Sport. 

The oil-burner is the same 3.0-litre straight-six which does duties elsewhere in the BMW line-up. The turbodiesel produces 261bhp of power and an impressive 620Nm of twisting force between 2,000 – 2,500 rpm. The diesel 6GT is capable of accelerating from 0-100kmph in just 6.1 seconds. It comes mated to an eight-speed Steptronic automatic transmission and sends power to the rear wheels only. The 6 Series Gran Turismo comes with five driving modes-Sport, Comfort, Comfort+, Eco Pro and Adaptive. It gets air-suspension with automatic self-levelling and launch control as well.

Feature-wise, the 6 Series GT comes with Dakota leather upholstery with contrast stitching in Luxury Line and Nappa leather in the M Sport variant, there’s also remote control parking function with BMW Display Key, and wireless mobile charger. The 10.5-inch iDrive touchscreen infotainment system gets navigation, smartphone connectivity, gesture control, and Harmon Kardon sound system. There is rear-seat infotainment system as well along with the heads-up display. The GT can be had in metallic paint schemes with four body colours – Mineral White, Glacier Silver, Mediterranean Blue and Royal Burgundy Red. The M Sport trim gets an exclusive metallic paint job which includes Carbon Black and Bluestone paint scheme.
