BMW unveiled the 6 Series GT at the Auto Expo last month and has recently started accepting bookings for the car. Currently, this BMW 6 Series Gran Turismo is available only in a locally-produced petrol variant - the BMW 630i Gran Turismo Sport Line. While the diesel variant of the car will be launched later in 2018, here's an in-depth picture gallery of the petrol version for now.
A long bonnet and frameless windows are the highlights of the car, which give it a visually striking appearance. The sporty stance is enhanced by the coupe-style low roofline.
Since it's a GT version, there's an active rear spoiler to reduce lift at touring speeds. Paired with the huge tail gate, it makes the rear design look even better.
The cabin gets a multifunctional instrument display and a BMW Navigation Professional with a 10.25-inch touch screen. It supports Apple Car Play apart from the usual connectivity through Bluetooth and USB.
Needless to say, it features the brand's iDrive including touch controller and comes with various BMW apps. It also features a new Park Distance Control.
Rear occupants are ensured a lounge kind of atmosphere inside thanks to the ambient lighting, a two-part panorama glass roof and electrically operated adjustable rear seats.
The second row also gets comfort cushions for headrests and electrically operated sun blinds for rear side window taking the luxury and comfort quotient a notch higher.
The entertainment needs are further taken care of by a rear-seat system with two 10.2-inch colour screens behind the front-seat backrests. It's compatible with a BluRay player with HDMI connection.
The 630i GT is powered by a two-litre four-cylinder petrol mill producing 258bhp and 400Nm of torque. A quick shifting eight-speed Steptronic gearbox helps the car sprint from 0-100kmph in just 6.3 seconds.
Furthermore, the car is loaded to the brim in terms of safety features too. Some noteworthy features include six air bags, ABS with brake-assist, traction control, hill descent control etc.
