BMW India has introduced a new entry-level variant, 620d, in the 6 Series Gran Turismo, priced at Rs 63.90 lakhs (ex-showroom India). The 620d is the base diesel variant and is available in a single ‘Luxury Line’ trim.
Besides the 620d, the BMW 6 Series Gran Turismo is also offered with the 630i and 630d engine options. With the introduction of the new engine, the 6 Series Gran Turismo is now available in four variants across three trim levels and three powertrains – 620d Luxury Line, 630d Luxury Line, 630d M Sport and 630i Luxury Line.
The BMW 6 Series Gran Turismo 620d is powered by a 2.0-litre twin-turbo four-cylinder diesel engine that puts out 188 bhp of power at 4,000 rpm and 400 Nm of peak torque at 1,750-2,500 rpm. The motor is paired with an 8-speed Steptronic automatic transmission that transfers power to the rear wheels. The car has a top speed of 220 km/h and can do the 0-100 km/h sprint in 7.9 seconds.
The Luxury Line trim offers features like an 8.8-inch digital instrument display, exclusive fine-wood interior trim, aluminium door sill plates, sports leather steering and a 10.25-inch BMW Navigation Professional touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay. The car gets five drive modes – Sport, Eco Pro, Comfort, Comfort+ and Adaptive. This 6 Series Gran Turismo also features an adaptive 2-axle air suspension with automatic self-levelling.
