BMW has launched the facelifted 6 Series Gran Coupe for Rs 1.14 Crore (All India ex-showroom) at their 2015 Bridal Fashion Week event in Delhi. The car mostly gets cosmetic updates both inside and outside but remains the same mechanically.
The fascia of the facelifted 6 Series now features redesigned LED headlamps and fog lights which are similar to the ones in the M6 Gran Coupe. The bumper has also been redesigned to make space for a full-width air-vent, while the kidney grille now sports nine horizontal slats instead of 10. The rear of the new 6 Series now comes with more chrome on the boot and bigger exhaust pipes, while the side profile flaunts redesigned mirrors and new alloy wheels.
The overall design and layout of elements has been carried over from the outgoing model but what is new is latest version of the German automaker’s ConnectedDrive infotainment system. The updates include a larger screen, 3D maps, B&O sound system and both front and rear cameras.
The single engine option is a 3.0-litre six-cylinder diesel mill that produces 313bhp and 630Nm of torque. Power is sent to the rear-wheels via an eight-speed AT.
The 6 Series Gran Coupe for the first time is being offered in two variants- Eminence and Design Pure Experience which have been priced at Rs 1.14 crore and Rs 1.21 crore respectively. The additional cost of the Design Pure Experience gets you twin-tone leather seats, ambient lighting, special 19-inch wheels, LED fog lamps, chrome exhaust pipes and a sports steering wheel.
