BMW has launched its new 4 Series Coupe for the Chinese market at 596000 Yuan (Rs 62.10 lakh). It is available in two variants which have been divided into rear and four-wheel-drive options. The 4 Series range was launched earlier this year to replace the sportier versions of the 3 Series cars. The 3 Series moniker, much to the relief of its fans, will continue but will be placed only on four-door cars of the range.
The Chinese markets get two variants; the 428i and the 435i, both of which are available in rear-wheel-drive and four-wheel-drive options. Each of the models get three trim lines-Sport, Modern and Luxury, However, there seems to be no mention of the M Sport trim line or convertible options for the China spec 4 Series.
The car is being imported to the Chinese market but may become a locally assembled unit in the future if there is enough demand. China is also expected to get the M4 and the 4 Series Gran Coupe both of which will make their global debuts next year.
