BMW 2 Series Convertible has been spied testing in Europe with minimal camouflage. The vehicle will be launched in the coming months and will replace the 1 Series convertible that is currently on sale.
The spy pictures show the car had M sport bumpers and a dual exhaust set-up indicating a possibility of an M235i version. If the spotted test mule does come out with in the M235i guise it will get the straight-six TwinPower Turbo 3.0-litre petrol engine producing 321bhp and 450Nm mated to either a six-speed manual or an optional eight-speed automatic gearbox.
The 2 Series coupe with the same engine does 0-100 kmph in 4.8 seconds with the automatic gearbox; the convertible will be slightly slower due to the additional weight.
In India, we may not get the convertible variant, rather we may get the coupe variant.
