With the spree of price hikes post the Union Budget 2016-17, we weren’t expecting too many discounts this month. At best, may be few manufacturers offering the cars at existing prices. But a talk with the dealers and a look through the newspapers has revealed that there are still plenty of deals available this month.
Chevrolet is offering deals and discounts worth up to Rs 70,000 on the Beat hatchback. This is probably part of the stock clearance sale, as the company might introduce an updated version of the Beat in April. Even the sedan and the MUV in the Chevy range are available with discounts worth Rs 60,000 – the details of the same are mentioned on the official website.
The Ford Figo hasn’t been doing too well and within few months of the launch, the Maruti Swift and the Hyundai Grand i10 competitor is available for discounts of around Rs 25,000 to Rs 40,000. Though Ford is not advertising it, negotiating with the dealer will definitely yield positive results. Plus, for March, most dealers are offering free insurance with the Figo Aspire and the EcoSport.
The dealers in Delhi are offering huge discounts on the Mobilio. The cars from 2015 are available for discounts of close to Rs 1.5 lakh. Also the Brio and the CR-V are up for a bargain – free insurance is being offered across India.
We did a detailed story on this – there are offers and discounts available in the range of Rs 10,000 to Rs 80,000 on majority of Hyundai cars. The most discounts are available on the Eon, Grand i10, Verna and the Xcent while there are few offers on the Elite i20 diesel as well.
Maruti
The Celerio and the WagonR are two models in the Maruti Suzuki range, on which the dealers are offering handsome discounts. The Celerio can be bought with a saving of around Rs 35,000, irrespective of whether it is the AMT or the diesel trim. The WagonR is also available with benefits of around Rs 30,000 across the country.
Nissan is offering its Terrano SUV with benefits worth Rs 77,000 across India. Also, through the partnering banks, an interest rate of 3.99 per cent on the car loan is offered with the Terrano.
The entire range of Tata cars are available for a discount, if you are willing to negotiate. The best deals are available with the GenX Nano and the Zest sedan, where the benefits offered are worth over Rs 50,000.
The current generation Innova will be phased out soon. The company has already stopped production and the dealers are handing over last remaining units of the G trim with a decent discount. Last we checked, the discounts are in the range of Rs 20,000 to Rs 75,000 depending upon the variant and exterior colour.
