Bentley’s all-new luxury SUV is set to be revealed to the world later this year but before the grand unveiling, the British luxury marquee has officially announced that this new model will go by the name Bentley Bentayga.
This supposedly ground-breaking SUV is said to combine Bentley’s renowned luxury with off-road performance usually associated with full size luxury SUVs.
Commenting on the name of its upcoming model, Wolfgang Dürheimer, Chairman and CEO of Bentley Motors, says, “Bentayga is a name that reflects what we know our SUV will do better than any other car in the world – combine the best automotive luxury with outstanding performance to take the Bentley experience to new environments.”
Bentley has announced that the Bentayga will be revealed later in 2015, followed by a launch sometime next year. The brand initially previewed this new model with the EXP 9 F concept back in 2012 at the Geneva Motor Show. However, the concept received heavy criticism relating to its controversial design. The Bentayga, then, is expected to don a much more appealing design to be able to overshadow the current crop of ultra-luxurious SUVs like the Range Rover and the Porsche Cayenne.
