Bentley will launch its SUV in about a year’s time. A little over a week ago Bentley released teaser images of the SUV. Although Bentley has been tight-lipped on this matter some details have emerged on the SUV’s performance.
A UK-based magazine claims the SUV has been designed to achieve a top speed of 200mph (320kmph). While this seems like a tall order for an SUV that big, the low roofline and slippery profile will help it achieve the feat says the source.
Bentley may have to give it the power of a supercar to get that sort of performance, and according to older reports it was rumoured the SUV may be a hybrid. Bentley’s EXP9 concept showcased at the Geneva Motor Show in 2012 used a reworked version of the W12 engine.
Bentley has always had the claim of the fastest four-seater production car; maybe they can aim for the same title in the SUV space to keep their sporting credentials intact.
