Bentley has unveiled the Bentayga First Edition ahead of its global debut at an exclusive customer event in Los Angeles. This is a limited edition of the Bentayga SUV that will get 608 units only.
Ten exclusive colours for the body paint schemes are on offer in this edition. The Bentayga First Edition gets additional features to set it apart from the standard SUV. These changes include illuminated tread plates and a Union Jack badging along the sides of the car that also sports a chrome side beading. The car rides on 22-inch black painted and polished wheels.
The changes extend to the cabin of the car as well, with ‘Diamond within Diamond’ quilting, bespoke ambient lighting etc. The dashboard features a Union Jack with First Edition badging as it is detailed in metal, wood and leather. The exclusivity is further enhanced by the unique contrast stitching and embroidered seats.
There are no changes to the engine of the First Edition and the car continues to be powered by the same unit from the Bentley Bentayga. This means that the 6.0-litre W12 mill is carried over, producing 600bhp (608PS) of power and a humongous 900Nm (663lb) of torque.
Bentley has decided to produce only 608 cars of this edition to represent the metric power output of 608PS. To add to the exclusivity, the First Edition customers will be gifted a Bentayga Edition Breitling watch that matches some elements from the car. Labeled as the world’s most expensive SUV, the First Edition costs $297,000 (Rs 1.95 crore) making it way too expensive than the standard version that starts at $229,100 (Rs 1.5 crore). Since we still don't have the regular Bentayga officially on sale in India, the First Edition is not likely to be seen on the Indian streets anytime soon.
