Bentley may launch a road-legal version of the new Continental GT3 that it unveiled at the Paris Motor recently. This new car will be priced at GBP 2,00,000 (Rs 1.68 crore) and is expected to replace the performance oriented Continental Supersports model.
The new car will be powered by the same 6.0-litre W12 engine but with an output of 700bhp. While the racecar is rear-wheel drive, the road version will be all-wheel drive, keeping in line with tradition and design of the Continental range. However, some reports suggest that Bentley may power the car with a twin-turbocharged 4.0-litre V8 engine and keep the W12 engines for its more luxurious models.
Like the design of the Continental Supersports, we can expect the new car to be performance oriented but with the necessary trappings for it to still be a large and luxurious Bentley. If given the green signal, the car will have a production run of 300 models and will go on sale in 2014.
