There is a new boss in town. Yes, you heard it right. Bentley Motors has launched the new Flying Spur V8 for the Indian market today. Priced at Rs 3.10 crore (ex-showroom Delhi), it joins the super-rich club along with its other siblings and Rolls- Royces.
This vehicle is powered by Bentley’s renowned 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine that develops 500 bhp and 660 Nm of torque, powering the Flying Spur V8 to 0-100 km/h in 5.2 seconds and on to a top speed of 295 kmph. In order to distinguish itself from its W12 siblings, the Flying Spur gets eight-chromed exhaust finishers and a red center to the Bentley Wings badges to denote the V8 engine. The front lower bumper grills are finished in black.
Exuding contemporary Bentley design, the interior of the car is beautifully handcrafted with the finest materials. The company has kept traditional car features like the bulls-eye air vents which are framed by wood veneers on the front, upper door trim, and front and rear consoles. The hand-stitched steering wheel and the trim around the transmission system are draped with premium grade leather hide.
The Flying Spur comes equipped with the Bentley Connectivity Unit with the help of which many devices like phones, laptops and tablet computers can be connected to the internet through the car’s own Wi-Fi hotspot. The other features include four-zone climate control, advanced keyless entry, electronically-adjustable front seats with lumbar massage, power-adjustable rear seats, heated steering wheel, power opening and closing trunk. On the safety front, the luxury car gets six airbags, retraction system, side curtain airbags, front passenger seat occupant detection system, anti-theft alarms, child safety door lock, antilock disc brakes, traction control, stability control and self-adjusting air springs.
The Bentley Flying Spur V8 will be sold in India through Exclusive Motors, Delhi – its sole importer via completely-build-up (CBU) route.
