Exclusive Motors Pvt Ltd has launched the most powerful and swiftest Bentley ever, the Continental GT Speed, in India. The two-door ultra-luxurious coupe looks similar to the Standard version and is powered by the same 6.0-litre twin-turbocharged W12 unit – but here it produces 616bhp and mindboggling 800Nm of torque.
With a four-wheel-drive and eight-speed ZF gearbox, the GTS reaches 100kph mark in less than four seconds and a top-speed of 329kph. To give driver some sort of control, the GT Speed sits on 21-inch alloy-wheels and lowered suspension. The front grille is darkened to make it look a bit more aggressive than the standard GT.
Of course despite all the efforts to make it powerful and fast, Bentleys are still primarily luxury cars. And there are no compromises on that front. It has touch-screen infotainment system and 30GB hard drive, half of which is storage space for music, while the other can be used for mapping data. Most of the interiors are hand-trimmed and ergonomic making it one of the best GT cars in the world. The GTS also 13 per cent more efficient than its predecessor – not that it makes much of a difference, but will certainly reduce rants of the green-brigade.
