Bentley is returning to the 24-hour race at the Nurburgring and in honour of the occasion has revealed a race themed version of its Continental Supersports coupe. Named the Continental 24, it gets 24 major updates and has been limited to 24 units.
These 24 limited Editions are based on the Continental Supersports so they get all the personal touches found in the car. However, this is not called Special Edition just in name as it pays tribute to the legendary race. On the outside, there is a contrast coloured paint job, wheels and stripes. The wing mirrors have been finished in carbon fibre while the brake calipers have been painted black to match the sporty exterior.
The cabin is standard Bentley fairing, but with colour inserts in the door cards, individually numbered tread plates for the doors, unique symbols stitched onto the head rests and finally Continental 24 inlays on the fascia.
The go-fast ability of this car comes from a 6.0-litre W12 producing a massive 600bhp/1000Nm. This gives the car a 336kmph and a 0-100kmph time of 3.5 seconds! This is incredible considering that the car weighs close to two tonnes.
The car has been priced at 205,000 Euros (Rs 1.4 crore) with deliveries beginning in July. However, even if you are one of those with so much spare ‘change’ lying around, it is unlikely that you will get a chance to buy one. More often than not, manufacturers ask existing owners and potential new owners before releasing the info to the public and at 24 units, it is more than likely that all the cars have been pre-booked.
