Pictures of the 2016 Bentley Bentayga scale model have been leaked ahead of its debut at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show. This exciting development has taken place thanks to the fact nearly every manufacturer gets its scale models made in China.
The SUV has been spotted testing on multiple occasions but this is the first time that we have an idea of what the production model will look like. It appears to have been derived from the same platform as the Audi Q7/Porsche Cayenne/Volkswagen Touraeg and sports a similar overall design but has the obvious elements to differentiate itself from the other vehicles.
The fascia is typical Bentley thanks to the large grille, unique projector lamps and obviously the Bentley’s famous winged ‘B’. Move over to the side and its VW origins become obvious thanks to the roofline and flared wheel arches.
However, its premium factor has been increased thanks to the chrome outline around the windows as well as the door handles. At the rear, it gets wrap around tail lamps, a roof mounted spoiler and chrome outline on the bumper.
While it is not fully visible, we can be sure that the cabin will be similar to the one found in the Flying Spur right down to the layout of the elements.
The Bentley Bentayga is expected to be offered with two petrol engines and one diesel engine. The former will include a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 and a 6.0-litre W12. The oil burner on the other hand is expected to be the 4.2-litre twin-turbo V8.
