The Bentley Bentayga will be launched for the Indian market at a function in Delhi tomorrow. Dubbed the world’s most luxurious SUV, it is the first crossover from the British automaker and was previewed as the EXP 9F concept at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show.
The exterior design is dominated by the massive chrome grille, ‘Winged B’ logo and round LED headlamps that have integrated indicators. The side profile resembles that of a raised Flying Spur while the rear is quite conventional thanks to the stock lamps and chrome strip at the base of the bootlid.
The Bentayga is powered by a massive 6.0-litre twin-turbo V12 that pumps out 600bhp and a mammoth 900Nm of torque all of which goes to all four wheels via a ZF eight-speed gearbox and AWD system.
The feature list is endless and has a variety of customisation options which basically allows the buyers to get the car to their exact tastes. Apart from this, the car comes fitted with four-zone climate control, touchscreen infotainment system; electrically adjustable surfaces as well as leather trim for the cabin.
The Bentayga has been brought into India in limited numbers via the CBU route and has already been sold out. We believe that it will be priced in the range of Rs 2.5 crore to Rs 3.5 crore.
