Bajaj Auto will be bringing its Ultra Low cost car in 2012. A direct competition to India's cheapest car, the Tata Nano, Bajaj would sure want this foray into the car segment to be one that is remembered for a while. The design, marketing and sourcing of the car would be handed by Bajaj while its Joint Venture partner, Renault-Nissan will be taking care of the after marketing in India and Overseas.
We speculate that the car will be named Lite but for the time being the car is code-named ULC. The Ultra Low Cost car was unveiled at the Auto Expo held in January 2010 and has generated a fair amount a interest among the people. We will see the car hitting Indian Roads in 2012 and it will be interesting to see how Bajaj Auto tries to stabilise the price of the car in this fluctuating market.
