The 2020 Auto Expo is slated to be held from 7 February to 12 February 2020 at the India Expo Mart in Greater Noida. India’s premier automotive motor show will witness the participation of 11 global car manufacturers who will showcase a slew of new technology and features in their upcoming new products. A shorter list of participation for the upcoming biennial automotive show can be attributed to a slow-down in the Indian automotive industry. Here are 11 car manufacturers that we are expecting to witness at the Auto Expo 2020.
The country’s largest car manufacturer, Maruti Suzuki will be present at the Auto Expo 2020. The company will showcase prototypes along with a range of BS-VI ready products. Maruti Suzuki is also expected to showcase its range of electric car projects for the Indian market.
The second largest car manufacturer and the largest car exporter from India, Hyundai will be present at the biennial automotive show. Hyundai is likely to showcase the next-gen Hyundai Creta along with the facelifted version of the Verna and the Tucson. The company will also showcase its electric car projects.
Tata Motors
One the leading utility car manufacturers in India, Tata Motors is expected to have a strong presence this year with a range of electric car projects. Additionally, the company will also display its range of BS-VI ready products.
Mahinda
Another popular brand in the utility segment, Mahindra will showcase its range of electric car projects and BS-VI cars. It is believed that the company will exhibit the new-gen XUV500 and the next-gen Thar.
Kia Motors
Kia Motors has made a strong debut in the Indian market this year with the launch of the Seltos. Alongside the Seltos, the company will also showcase the upcoming Carnival premium MPV for the Indian market. Additionally, the company is also likely to showcase the Stinger GT and the Soul EV at the upcoming auto show.
MG Motor
Another new entrant in the Indian market, MG Motor, has also received a positive response in the Indian market with the launch of the Hector SUV. Alongside the Hector, MG will also showcase its next in line product, the all-electric SUV, the eZS. The company will also showcase its range of future technology for its upcoming products.
The German car manufacturer, Volkswagen eluded the 2018 Auto Expo show. This time around, the globally popular brand will be present at the 2020 Auto Expo and showcase its range of upcoming products and new technology. The company will showcase its new SUV which will be based on the MQB-AO-IN platform and it will rival the Kia Seltos. Additionally, we also expect to see a range of electric car projects.
As part of Skoda Auto Volkswagen India, the Czech car manufacturer will showcase its range of future products to be introduced under the collaboration. The new Octavia is also expected to be showcased at the upcoming automotive show.
Renault will mark its presence at the 2020 Auto Expo event with a range of electric car projects and the newly launched Kwid hatchback. The company is also expected to reveal the timelines for the all-electric City KZ-E along with its BS-VI plans for India.
Mercedes-Benz is the only luxury German car manufacturer to participate at the 2020 Auto Expo. The company is expected to showcase its EQ range of electric cars along with the new GLS, GLE and the GLB. Mercedes-Benz will also share its inputs about its expansion plans in the Indian market.
Great Wall Motors
Great Wall Motors, a popular Chinese automobile manufacturer will be present at the 2020 Auto Expo event. The company will showcase a few SUVs and its range of pick-up trucks which are likely to be introduced in the Indian market.
