Auto Expo 2018: New Maruti Suzuki Ertiga to be showcased

Maruti Suzuki Ertiga has always been a strong player in the MPV segment in India. Due for a facelift since a while now, the company will finally showcase the new Ertiga at the upcoming 2018 Auto Expo event in India. Due to be launched later this year, the upcoming model has been spotted on test in India on numerous occasions.

As seen in test mules, the new Maruti Suzuki Ertiga will get a sportier fascia with redesigned headlamps and bolder bumpers. The vehicle is also expected to get body cladding for a sportier stance. The rear section is also expected to be revised and might feature new LED units. The vehicle also appears to have a larger overhang, thereby suggesting that it might offer more space for third row occupants.

Engine options are likely to the same as the current generation model, however reports have suggested that the new model might get a slightly more powerful 1.5 litre petrol engine option. The company might also continue offering the CNG option. Owing to the Heartect platform, the new model will also be lighter and might offer better fuel efficiency figures than its predecessor.
