India’s biggest automotive symposium is back and has been scheduled to kick off from 9 February 2018. While the cars, bikes, buses and trucks will be showcased at the India Expo Mart in Greater Noida, the Components show will be held at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi.
Auto Expo – The Motor Show 2018 which will be spread across 1,85,000 sq. mt. with all automobile majors participating in 14 indoor exhibition halls. Highlighting the salient features of Auto Expo – The Motor Show, Vishnu Mathur, Director General, SIAM, said “The Auto Expo has conventionally been one of the most pursued platforms for the automobile industry in India and with the continued success of the show, it has gained a global thrust giving the participating brands a worldwide exposure. Auto Expo – The Motor Show 2018 is aimed at celebrating the industry’s biggest automotive event offering an opportunity to the Industry and visitors to Co-Create, Co-Exist and Celebrate.”
While most of the manufacturers operating in India will be present, Fiat-Chrysler and Volkswagen might give the 2018 Auto Expo a miss. Which means, there will not be any Audi, VW, Skoda, Porsche, Lamborghini, Ferrari, Maserati, Fiat or Jeep stalls. But then, the 2018 Auto Expo, for the first time, will see three international carmakers debuting at the same time – MG Motors, SAIC and Kia Motors. This might also be the first time that Lexus might make its way to the luxury section.
