Audi is set to unveil a brand new SUV concept at the 2014 Beijing Motor Show which will begin later this month. To keep the buzz alive, the brand has released a series of official sketches which preview the upcoming SUV concept.
Not many details about the car are out at the moment but it is rumored to be the Q4 – Audi’s upcoming answer to the BMW X4 which is also in the making. “The show car combines the sporty elements of the TT with the strengths of a compact SUV” is all we have got from Audi on this concept.
Designed on the same lines as the All-road shooting brake concept shown earlier this year, the Beijing-bound concept features a typically large chrome-infested grille, massive wheel arches, TT-like taillights and a coupe-esque profile.
The production-spec Audi Q4 will eventually compete against the likes of the BMW X4 and the recently introduced Porsche Macan. As for the concept to be shown later this month, Audi is expected to plonk in a plug-in hybrid powertrain mated to Quattro all-wheel drive system.
