In a bid to capture a new generation of buyers who are looking for a compact, good quality sedan, Audi India hopes that the new A3 will give the brand an edge over the competition in catering to this up-and-coming segment. Mercedes already has the A-Class and is set to bring the CLA – a car which will put up a good fight with the A3. As for the brand’s famed SUV range, expect the SQ5 and special edition models of the Q7 to grace the stands at the expo.
The recently launched RS 7 Sportback will also make an appearance. The car is powered by a 4-litre TFSI V8 engine which also features cylinder deactivation technology for improved fuel efficiency under normal driving. On full swing, the V8 puts out over 552.3bhp of power and 700Nm of torque, enabling the RS7 to sprint from 0 to 100 kmph in just 3.9 seconds. For those who care, Audi claims a fuel economy of 10.20 kmpl for this four door sports sedan with super-car rivalling performance.
Audi motorsport fans are sure to be left spellbound as the company will also display its 2012 24 Hours Le Mans winning race machine - the R18 e-tron quattro.
