Audi might be working on a top-of-the-line SUV that would be placed above the Q7. The company also claims it will be named the Q8.
Audi’s CEO Rupert Stadler told a publication that Audi is "working heavily" on a Q8 model which will be aimed primarily at markets such as United States, China and the Middle East where there's a big desire for large SUVs with a couple-like silhouette.
According to Stadler, the new flagship SUV will be launched before 2020.
We shall reserve our comments until we see the test mules or official pictures from the company, but the focus will still remain on the Q7.
It won’t be ideal to promote such a vehicle in India if the dimensions are larger than 5.2 metres, but there is a remote possibility that it will make it here. However, the Q7 has sold in good numbers here and we believe Audi will focus on it more as of now.
