If you thought that the TT Coupe and the TT Roadster were sporty, then Audi is all set to raise your expectations through their recently unveiled limited edition TT S line competition. Prices are expected to start at Euros 41,940 (Rs 31.40 lakh) for the coupe, and Euros 44,340 (Rs 33.20 lakh) for the roadster.
To be made available in Europe by the end of 2016, this edition comes with an array of striking details, both for the exterior and interior. While the ‘Singleframe’ grille, front splitter, door mirrors, rear diffuser, and the fixed rear wing are highlighted by a glossy black finish, the tailpipes are tastefully finished in black chrome.
Audi has equipped the S line competition with 19-inch five-spoke blade design alloys in glossy black, and red brake callipers can be seen behind the wheels embracing the discs. Also on offer is the sport suspension setup with firmer springs and dampers that lower the TT’s ride height by another 10mm.
On the inside, a flat-bottomed three-spoked S line sport leather steering wheel can be seen along with the S-embossed sport seats with optional pneumatic adjustment to provide excellent lateral support. With the TT’s standard Audi virtual cockpit instrument cluster, a new sport screen now depicts a central tachometer integrated with a speed display that dominates the entire instrument cluster.
The dashboard itself features a honeycomb pattern, soft touch plastics, and brushed aluminium finish. While the interiors are put together using black leather and Alcantara through grey contrast stitching, Nappa leather can also be opted for. Meanwhile, the centre console clips, air vents, and seat trims are painted in a slate grey chrome shade.
The S line competition will use the 2.0-litre TFSI motor that pumps out 230bhp, and will be offered in a front-wheel drive version with either a six-speed manual gearbox or an S-tronic ‘box. However, the Quattro all-wheel drive version will only make use of the S-tronic gearbox.
