The Audi TT RS has been spotted on test at the Nurburgring in Germany. Basically the highest spec variant of Audi’s famous sports car, the TT RS is expected to be launched next year and is one of the models that have been saved from VW’s cost-cutting axe in the wake of its emission scandal.
In terms of external appearance, the TT RS gets a new bumper with larger air intakes, bigger wheels and what appears to be a revised exhaust system. It is expected to retain the five-cylinder 2.5-litre mill (glory be to the original Sport Quattro!) but which will now be tuned to produce around 407bhp.
Purists will most likely be a bit miffed as this vehicle will only be offered with a DCT. The car is expected to make a debut at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show with an official launch scheduled for the middle of next year.
