- High performance TT RS iteration to be updated in the future
- Styling cues will be borrowed from the A7 Sportback
- The RS coupe and cabrio will keep the 400bhp five-cylinder engines used so far.
The current-gen Audi TT is one of the most successful sports cars in its segment. This generation is by far the sharpest to drive, but a 2019 facelift will make things more interesting – and that goes for all the variants including the TT RS snapped at the Nurburgring recently.
The camouflage tells us that the facelift will be concentrated around the front and rear bumpers of the car, borrowing styling cues from the A7 Sportback.
The TT is probably going to be the last of the original MQB-based compacts to get a facelift. As such, it will probably benefit from new engine technology which will also go into the Golf 8 or Octavia 4. It’s likely the RS coupe and cabrio will keep the 400bhp five-cylinder engines used so far.
