Audi will launch 10 new products for the Indian market in 2015. This was announced by Joe King, CEO of Audi India, during the launch of the A3 Cabrio, in Delhi, yesterday. The company has already sais that the cars are expected to include new variants of existing models as well as vehicles in new segments.
We believe that this range will comprise the following vehicles:
1. Audi A3 Sportback
2. 2016 Audi Q3
3. 2016 Audi RS Q3
4. 2016 Audi Q5
5. 2016 Audi SQ5
6. 2016 Audi TT/Roadster
7. 2016 Audi S8
8. 2016 Audi A6
9. Audi R8 LMX
10. Audi A3 e-tron
The standard models from this list are the Q3, Q5 and the A6 which will continue in the CKD form and will be locally assembled at the German automaker's facility in Aurangabad. The RSQ3, SQ5, S8 and R8 LMX are expected to be the new additions to the existing range of which the last one is expected to be the swansong before the model is shelved.
Finally, we believe that the new models will be the TT coupe/roadster, which has already been spotted testing in India, and the A3 e-tron. The latter is expected to be more of a showcase product and will be brought to India in very limited numbers. During the launch, Joe King also said that the company would be making its second round of investments in India but did not specify when this would happened or what it would constitute.
