While we wait for Audi India to launch the second generation of the Q7, Audi is busy testing the high power SQ7 model. A prototype of this new model was recently spotted near the German brand’s Nurburgring testing facility.
While the SQ7 retains the overall proportions of the standard model, it displays its performance intent with the help of sportier air intakes and a new set of tail lights. Perhaps the production-spec ASQ7 will feature a loud paint scheme and bigger alloys to differentiate itself from the rest of the range.
Not much is known on the drivetrain, although the SQ7 is expected to make use of a turbocharged V8 outputting over 400bhp of power. In keeping with the existing line of S models, Audi will equip it with beefed-up suspension and braking components.
Audi currently makes high performance models of the Q5 and Q3 in the form of the SQ5 and RS Q3 respectively.
