Audi Sport told reporters at the New York Motor Show that the brand is all set to unleash their expertise gathered from Audi’s motorsport division and Quattro GmbH through eight new models over the next 24 months.
This comes after Audi Sport released the RS3, RS5 Coupe, and TT RS for the North American market this week. Audi added that in the past, the RS model was usually introduced at the end of the model’s life cycle. However, that’s changed for the better, and now RS models will be developed alongside the regular model, like how the RS3 turned out.
Officials however disclosed that not all Audi models will get an RS version, as this version is quite unique and are completely in a league of their own. Especially when you compare them to Audi’s ‘S’ branded cars which are much more achievable applications. Audi Sport currently sees a massive demand for RS cars (even crossovers) in the United States, and is expecting the rest of the world markets to play catch-up in the time to come.
Eight new models sounds exciting if you ask us, and we will be able to share more news on Audi’s plans in the months to come, so stay tuned.
