Audi announced its best-ever sales of 205 cars for the month of September 2009, thereby registering an growth of 153 percent (81 cars in September 2008).
Commenting on the impressive sales performance Mr. Benoit Tiers, Managing Director, Audi India, said, “Audi India continues its growth momentum in September as well. Our increasing sales indicate the growing dominance of brand Audi amongst car enthusiasts in the country and we are keen to build on this strong foundation.â€
Audi India has recorded strong growth all year around in spite of the difficult market conditions. The year-to-date growth stood at an impressive 72 percent (Jan-Sep 2009: 1,333 cars; Jan-Sep 2008: 777 cars). Audi India has already surpassed last year’s annual sales of 1,050 cars by recording a total of 1,128 car sales in the period of January to August 2009.
The entire Audi model range, comprising the new Audi Q7, the Audi Q5, the new Audi A6, the Audi A8, the Audi A4, the Audi TT and the Audi R8, is available at 12 dealerships across the country: in Delhi, Gurgaon, Chandigarh, Ludhiana, Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kolkata and Kochi.
