An Avant (estate) version of the Audi RS4 has been spied testing in Europe. It is the sportier and highly coveted wagon version of the German automaker’s mid-level luxury sedan. It gets cosmetic updates as well as a new high-performance engine.
The pictures reveal that this gets the new vehicle get the familiar Audi face but with a larger air intake. There is also a tail gate mounted spoiler, larger exhausts, RS-spec alloy wheels and larger brakes. We expect most of the cabin to be carried over from the standard car but with RS-spec steering wheel, seats and cabin trim.
This RS4 Avant is expected to use the same 3.0-litre supercharged V6 petrol engine that is expected to produce around 450bhp and will be offered with a six-speed manual or a seven-speed DSG. Expect the Quattro AWD system to be standard across all trim levels.
The car is expected to be unveiled late this year and could possibly be launched in the early part of 2017 for Europe before arriving in other markets.
