- The RS Q8 loses camouflage and gains Audi Sport livery
- The performance-oriented SUV could debut by the end of the year
The Audi RS Q8 was spotted testing once again. New spy images reveal the performance-oriented version of the Q8 SUV sans any camouflage for the very first time. The RS Q8 test-mule does feature a few red accents and highlights across the bodywork, which looks like the Audi Sport livery.
Updates to the exterior of the upcoming Audi RS Q8 include a wider air-intake up-front, large multi-spoke alloy wheels on both sides and a new rear bumper with a diffuser and dual oval-shaped exhausts at the rear.
Details regarding the interior of the new Audi RS Q8 remain unknown at the moment although the test-mule seen has been spotted with a roll-cage and Recaro seats, features which are unlikely to make it to the production-spec model. What we can expect though is the usage of light-weight materials such as carbon fibre for the interior elements.
Audi has not revealed the specifications of the RS Q8 although the model could source power from a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8, the same unit seen on the Lamborghini Urus. This engine, however, is likely to be detuned to produce power in the range of 600bhp. Audi will offer the model with the signature Quattro All-Wheel Drive system. An unveiling at the 2019 Frankfurt Motor Show is unlikely, although the model could break cover by the end of the year.
