Following the unveiling of the revised A7 Sportback, German luxury carmaker Audi has taken the covers off the new RS7 which gets the same set of updates as the standard A7. The high-performance RS7 model gets new design details, revised instrument cluster and an updated MMI infotainment system.
Upfront, there’s a sharper looking single frame honeycomb grille and revised air inlets. The highlight of the update comes in the form of new optional Matrix LED headlights first seen in the A8 luxury sedan. The tail lights also have been revised. Audi is now offering the RS7 in floret silver, glacier white, mythos black and sepang blue with pearl effect.
Inside, the cabin features a revised instrument cluster, updated MMI infotainment system and different paddle shifters. The new RS7 retains the 4-litre TFSI engine producing 560bhp of power and 700Nm of torque. Mated to an 8-speed tiptronic gearbox and Audi’s Quattro all-wheel drive system, the engine allows the RS7 to accelerate from zero to 100kmph in just 3.9 seconds, onto an electronically limited top speed of 250kmph.
The revised RS7 is fitted with 20-inch forged lightweight alloy wheels as standard. Audi is offering 21-inch cast aluminum wheels in three colours as an optional extra. With a base price of around €113,300 (Rs 91.32 lakh), the revised RS7 is now on sale in Germany. Given that Audi India fully imports the RS7 in the country, this new revised model is more than likely to be added to the company’s India line-up in the near future.
