Audi India will reveal the prices of its all-new flagship SUV, the Q8, in the country tomorrow, 22 August. The SUV made its global debut last year and the bookings of the same were commenced recently for a token amount of Rs. 5,00,000.
The new Q8 will get heavily revised exterior styling with eight colour options, namely Mythos Black, Sakhir Gold, Glacier White, Waitomo Blue, Tamarind Brown, Samurai Gray, Vicuna Beige, and Satellite Silver. Moreover, the interior can be customised in four different themes – Pando Gray, Okapi Brown, Black, and Saiga Beige.
The design highlights of the new Audi Q8 include a larger trapezoidal grille finished in black with a 2D Audi logo, wider air dams, new headlamps with Matrix LED, revised rear profile with new OLED taillamps, and a reworked bumper.
On the inside, the Q8 facelift has a typical Audi vibe to it with an understated yet modern dashboard layout, three-screen setup for the infotainment, AC control panel and instrument cluster, and a four-spoke steering wheel. As for the features, the new Q8 will come loaded with ventilated and powered front seats, four-zone climate control, Bang and Olufsen-sourced music system, 360-degree camera, wireless charger, customisable ambient lighting, and an ADAS suite.
Mechanically, the updated Q8 will be powered by a 3.0-litre TFSI engine coupled with a 48V mild-hybrid system. This engine is capable of churning out 340bhp and 500Nm of peak torque. As for the transmission, the motor will come paired with an eight-speed automatic gearbox.
